I read so many great things about Meltdown, I decided to try it. Most acne treatments were way too harsh for my sensitive skin or the routine too complicated/intensive that I had trouble sticking to it long term. In my 20s health issues began affecting my hormones and led to cystic acne on my chin that I couldn't seem to shake for several years. However, if I neglected washing my face consistently or some other environmental factor led to the rare pimple, it took FOREVER to heal and often left a light scar. This product also dried my skin out so bad… which is funny because everyone else seems to call it "hydrating." Definitely the opposite effect for me in every way. The pores on my nose and cheeks were also noticeable after using this product, and I've never had that issue before. I also started to get terrible blackheads in areas I've never had them before- specifically my nose, upper cheeks, and chin. I woke up every morning with at least one or two new, large, painful, and bright red bumps on my forehead while using. I have naturally oily skin, so maybe adding this oil on top was just too much for my skin to ha. I used this product for 2 weeks and my skin was worse than before, so I had to stop. I decided to try this product because it's been labeled as the Holy Grail, and I've recently started to get adult acne. I bet it will take me a year to use the whole bottle, even with daily use. Now I can just dispense the one drop I need to cover my chin and nose. glass bottle with a dropper (less than 2 dollars at the Container Store, pictured below). My fix was to transfer the product to a little 1/2 oz. Last note: I agree with other reviewers that the pump dispenses way too much and the packaging could be improved. If you only want to buy one product to treat your cystic acne, I recommend this one!
